Paige Pond Country Inn has completed the COVID19 protocols and is deemed certified under the guidance of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority and the Central Board of Health. This is necessary to protect the health of our guests and of our staff.

Guest Check-in /Check-out Procedure

Under the guidance of the COVID19 Protocols, all guest is required to wear a face mask while on the compound. Furthermore, before being granted entry at the front desk, a body temperature check is required and done by the attending Front Desk agent. Only two persons are allowed entry and each guest must sanitize once their body temperature is within the acceptable range. Notice/safety signs are at each point of entry for all guest/staff. A plexiglass shield has also been installed at the Front Desk so as to create a safe interaction barrier between guest and staff.

Cleaning and sanitation of rooms

Under the guidance and advise of the Ministry of Health and Environment & the Ministry of Tourism, housekeeping services have been reduced to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Virus. As such, services will be available every 3 days.
Upon the checkout of each guest, the rooms will be completely sanitized. (This includes the removal of all linens and the steaming of all curtains/chairs/sofas.) There is a three-hour window before another guest is allowed to use a room. Cooking utensils and wares will only be provided upon request of guest at check-in.

Safety equipment for staff members and hotel guest

All staff members have been equipped with protective shields, mask, aprons, gowns and gloves during the hours of operation. We are also providing mask and hand sanitizers for guest. Hand sanitizer dispensers have been installed at every point of entry and guest and staff are reminded to ensure that their hands are sanitized before entrance. Signs/notices have also been placed next to each dispenser as a reminder.

Staff training

All staff members have been trained in relation to the new procedures and service standards required by the COVID19 certified protocols.

Suppliers-partner protocols

All suppliers of products (water, beverages, gas suppliers and partners (AC Technicians, LPG, Electrician, Carpenters and Security Cameras Technician) have been advised of the COVID19 protocol for the safety of guests and staff.

Covid19 Testing Policy/Procedure

In the event of a positive guest, guest will be relocated to the assigned COVID19 Sick Bay on the property and the on call General practitioners will be contacted along with the country’s COVID19 hotline under the guidance of the Ministry of Health.

Should a guest or member of staff feel as if they are showing signs of Covid-19, please contact the Covid-19 Hotline at 1 (268) 462-6843 immediately, where a member of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda’s medical team will take your call. Please follow their instructions after the call.

Onsite COVID-19 testing:

To facilitate the return of travel, Paige Pond Country Inn is able to direct guests to an easily accessible and affordable Covid-19 testing location. An appointment can be made with any of the above practitioners. Testing can be carried out onsite and a 24 hrs. notice in advance is required. Applicable testing fees will be charged accordingly.

IMPORTANT: All testing facilities do have an additional cost for testing services, are subject to availability, and are not affiliated with the hotel.
